AMI's main digging bucket line for excavators is the PRO Series. The HD Pro is built to move more material per pass without upsizing the excavator. AMI lists 10 percent more payload from a lighter bucket. The HD Pro Plus (HD Pro+) goes further, with higher capacity for mass material moving and high production truck loading. AMI lists the Pro Plus as 15 to 20 percent lighter and able to move 30 percent more material.
Both PRO buckets use Hardox 500 Tuf steel in the body and Strenx steel in the lugging. A smooth outer shell removes the need for heavy wear bars and cuts drag. The Severe Duty digging bucket in this line is built for higher abrasion work. It uses Hardox 450 wear steel in all wear areas, including the base edge, side cutter plates, larger cheek plates and horizontal wear bars, with a dual radius profile in the floor and heel.
